Hi, My name is Brian Karbel and I am the Boston Food Critic. I am not the Phantom Gourmet. The name came from my friends who like to make fun of me each and every time I post a restaurant review on Yelp.com. I am also known to substitute when ordering anything from a sandwich to a filet mignon. Hence the nickname "The Critic" . I am an aspiring chef who loves going out to eat in Boston and also loves cooking at home. I once interviewed for a job as a chef at Mount Snow and considered going to culinary school, but for now I am happy in my day job selling internet marketing software and cooking for friends and family at home in the Boston area.
